I understand that Breathe In Happy Valley (the Company) is a project of We Are Cornsilk, Inc. a California based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. EIN 33-3380025.

Happy Valley Conference Center (the Venue) is the location where Breathe In Happy Valley will be held. In consideration of my use of the Happy Valley Conference Center located in Santa Cruz, CA for the Breathe In Happy Valley Retreat, I expressly agree and contract, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, that the Company and/or the Venue, its insurers, employees, officers, directors, and associates, and any Breathe In Happy Valley (BIHV) staff, volunteers, or third party service providers, including the Venue, shall not be liable for any damages arising from personal injuries (including death) sustained by me on, or about the premises, or as a result of the use of the facilities, regardless of whether such injuries result, in whole or in part, from the negligence of the Company, and/or the Venue. By the execution of this agreement, I accept and assume full responsibility for any and all injuries, damages (both economic and non-economic), and losses of any type, which may occur to me, and I hereby fully and forever release and discharge the Company and/or the Venue, its insurers, employees, volunteers, officers, directors, and associates, from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, present or future, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated, or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out the use of said facilities. I expressly agree to indemnify and hold the Company and/or the Venue harmless against any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, of any person or entity, that may arise from injuries or damages sustained by me. I agree to be solely responsible for my safety and well-being. I understand that the Company and/or the Venue does not provide supervision, instruction, or assistance for the use of the facilities. I understand that this is “Bear Country” and no food is allowed in the tents or cabins at any time. Bears recognize coolers as food storage units so I will not leave them in my vehicle in plain sight.

I agree to comply with all rules imposed by the Company and/or the Venue regarding the use of the facilities. I understand that due to the high fire danger, this is a “no tolerance” environment for any open flame, including smoking outside of the designated areas.

I understand and agree that the Company and/or the Venue is not responsible for property that is lost, stolen, or damaged while in, on, or about the premises, including in or around personal vehicles.
